Pretty Fly for A Unit 9

Human Impact: (represent!) Like always humans seem to find a way to go and pollute land but what’s new?? In this unit however we were introduced to people who go out of their way to try and stop the pollution that goes on around us. While we were at the water treatment facility our tour guide (whose name has slipped my mind) educated us on everything we need to know about treating water! This is something I never truly realized went on until the fieldtrip. Because the water facility tour guide taught me the importance of conserving water I was impacted to stop leaving my shower/sinks on for too long and conserve water as much as I can.

Economic Impact: As talked about in my blog, recycling can be a good and bad economic move. When recycling paper we are able to turn it into paper once again therefore it saves us $$money! However something’s use WAY to much energy to be considered useful therefore harsh fully impacted the economy.

Environmental Impact: As discussed previously, the more someone recycles paper the less trees are going to be cut down which is a huge bonus to the environment because it is not just saving the trees but also the homes of many animals that inhabit those trees.

Government legislation:
The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act or CERCLA or Superfund act, is legislation aimed at cleaning up land that may cause health and environmental risks. The Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976 allows the EPA to control chemical levels in order to limit the damage done to humans and the environment.
